In a large cycle entitled Noosphere, Sikora explored the numerous possibilities offered by a dark, concentrated visual field. Most of the works in this cycle are transcriptions of various energy fields and phenomena, particularly the concentration of energy in black holes. This photo-collage presents a blurred vision of a distant celestial object, as if viewed through flawed equipment. The form of the blurring reinforces the mysterious quality of the depiction. The notion of “noosphere” can be seen as Sikora’s personal creative paradigm, involving the unity of humans, nature and the universe.
