Sto děl z Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava – CZ (100 Works from the Gallery of Fine Arts, Ostrava – Czech version)

This exhibition catalogue presents 100 works selected by five curators from the Gallery: the Gallery’s Director Jiří Jůza, Petr Beránek, Jan Kudrna, Gabriela Pelikánová and Renáta Skřebská. The selection represents an important sample from a major art collection, covering a period from the 15th to the 21st century. Each item in the catalogue includes a reproduction of the work and a text by the curator, as well as a brief biographical note about each artist and a general characterization of their work. The individual works are arranged in chronological order; the first item is by the Master of Hradec Králové (around 1490) and the most recent is by Jakub Špaňhel (2010). The primary aim of the catalogue is to present the artistic quality of the 100 works; it can also be used as an educational handbook.
