Rytmy + pohyb + světlo: Impulsy futurismu v českém umění ("Rhythms + movement + light: Impulses of futurism in Czech art")

The impetus for the publication was the question of whether and how Czech art of the first third of the 20th century reflected the impulses coming from Italian futurism. Historical prototypes of futurism can be found in the smooth, rhythmic curve of the plant Art Nouveau ornament or in the scientific visualization of the heartbeat from the 1960s. Individual studies show the mutual connections, shifts and variations of the theme of dynamism, movement and time in Czech fine arts, film, photography and theater in the first third of the 20th century. A similar topic has not yet been worked out, the narrative publication captures the phenomenon of illuminating Czech art history from a new angle.
