The opening will taken place on Tuesday 3 March at 5 p.m.
The exhibition presents two fundamental aspects of Milan Lasota’s (1954–1998) work. Born in Třinec, Lasota was self-taught. He was one of the Silesian conceptual artists grouped together in the exhibition Silesian Concept, curated in 2004 by Martin Mikolášek and Andrea Węglarzyová at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava. Lasota’s art explored his own physicality by applying touches, imprints or finger drawings to base materials. These imprints then took on the form of phases, cycles, or series. The exhibition also includes other facets of Lasota’s creativity – his objects and jewellery.
